Yves Saint Laurent in Le Orange and Le Rouge Flamme ( a sephora exclusive)

I am in love with this seasons jump on the orange wagon, I am an orange kinda girl. I was wearing orange before it was the in thing.. same with neon colors.. Im addicted.

So when I ran across these colors I just had to check them out. They are so beautiful. I love how vibrant the orange is and the red really shows off. I love the way they go on so smooth and stay on. I had a hard time getting the swatch off my hand. I love lipsticks that stay on. So great sign for Yves.

I am falling in love with Yves Saint Laurents colors because they stay put, stay vibrant and are worth the cost you are paying.

You can check out Sephora's website to pick up these lovely colors or stop by Sephora and check out everything.

Sinful Colors -Summer Peach and wet'n'wild - gray's anatomy - Review

I am having more fun then I can say playing with nail polishes. I don't paint my nails everyday. I have been testing how long nail polishes stay on. I have to say I am really impressed with the staying power of Sinful Colors and wet'n'wild's fast dry nail polishes. I have had them on for 4 days now and there is almost no chips (and I think I've said before I am super rough on my nails).

I bought the Sinful Colors - Summer Peach because it is a bright neon orange. I am crazy about orange and neon's so I had to get it of course. I mean its vibrant, bright, and just calls out to you. So I put it on my nails and sadly it washed out my skin and looked so bad. So being me, not wanting to give up, I grabbed the other color I bought wet'n'wild's Gray's Anatomy and put a coat on top and BAM I had found it. The color neutralized the orange to a beautiful shiny flame like color and just radiates gorgeous. (Soon Soon, I promise when I get my new expensive camera I will post new pictures)

I am still new to playing with nail polishes so yes so far, there is nothing special other then colors, but soon, soon I am going to be trying and getting to the cool fun stuff. You can come on my journey with me.

Makeup - GwP the way to go for counter purchases

I love Clinique, Shiseido, Philosophy, Estee Lauder, and the likes of any makeup you can purchase at a makeup counter. The price tags always make it hard for me to go in for the kill and buy. Except during the GwP times. I love GwP's because it makes your purchase seem less expensive and makes you super excited to try new things. I've fallen in love with so many products because of it.

The best part about them is that you get a wide variety of deluxe size samples and full size products. So you get to try not only the new product you just bought (or your old favorite) but also 5-7 other different items, in an adorable makeup bag. You can not beat that.

Right now there are a multitude of companies offering gift with purchase in stores and online. So it's the perfect time to buy.

For example right now at Macy's Lancome has a gorgeous gift set with any $35 purchase

You get an adorable tote bag. Very vibrant and bright. Your choice of eye cream, there is three to pick from. Your choice of moisturizer, again three to pick from. A body essential either a bronzer or a lotion. You get a lip product either a juicy tube or a lipstick and lastly an eye essential which includes either a mascara, makeup remover or eye shadow palette. Best part this is all free on top of the great item you are purchasing. This year I'm digging the new bright cream shadows and I love the foundation.

Another example is right now over at Estee Lauder at Macy's if you buy any fragrance you get a bag, palette with eye shadow and blush and two lipsticks and I believe a mascara and some brushes. Now I'm not a fragrance person really, but this is a great deal.

Now Clinique is doing a gift with purchase at Nordstroms. I love the bag, it's designed by Tracy Reese. This giftset is free with a $28 purchase. You get deluxe samples of the dramatically different lotion, mild facial soap, a lipstick, lipgloss, mascara, all about eyes serum and an eyeshadow palette. So you buy 2 items and walk away with not only some great products but this entire gift set.

Physician's Formula Hydrating and Balancing Moisturizer- Review

Physician's Formula Hydrating and Balancing Moisturizer

Last week I went to CVS to pick up my free body wash from the facebook giveaway and upon purchasing it, I got a coupon for $12 of a Physician's Formula skincare item. I spent the next 5 minutes trying to find a skincare item in the makeup section before the chick behind the counter took me over to the new Physician's Formula skincare line. I didn't know anything about it, so I sat down in front of them and read up on them as much as you can in a store on the floor.

I like a lot of the different makeup that Physician's Formula makes and so with the coupon making a product under half the cost, I thought why not give it a try. So I picked up Hydrating and Balancing Moisturizer for $9 normally $19.99. Not a bad deal and hoped it would be a good fit for me.

I've been using it for a week now, I really like the way it feels on the drier parts of my face. The first few days I was using it all over my face, but I didn't like the way it left my forehead feeling more oily then it had started out that day. Yet I really like the way it feels on the flakier parts of my skin. It makes it feel less dry and more normal. So I have been using it on half my face and it feels really great.

It comes out of the bottle a light blue color, which I think is cool. It doesn't feel too thick or greasy which I think is nice. It seems to moisturize well on my skin, I have only been using it for about a week so I can't say how well it works for long term. I will have to update you in a while about the long term effects.

So I would recommend checking out this moisturizer if you are looking for a new moisturizer. They also have a whole line of skincare. I have yet to check out.

Deborah Lippman's Mermaid Dream and Sweet Dreams - RevieDeborah Lippman's Mermaid Dream and Sweet Dreams

Deborah Lippman's Mermaid Dream and Sweet Dreams

I had to chance to play around with this nail polish the other day while I was out. So I did my nails different colors. One being the gorgeous bluish green with blue glitter - Mermaid Dream and the other a vibrant pink with irridescent flakes - Sweet Dreams . I am in love with both of the colors. They are so gorgeous and beautiful.

First off they stay on. Not every nail polish likes too. They don't chip that easy, unless of course you are me and 2 minutes after applying you stick your hand into your pocket to pull out your phone and pull a part of the nail polish off. I'm really hard on my nails so I don't expect it to last forever, but its been 4 days and they still look pretty good.

Second the color is so there and bright and so much glitter. You really get to see it shine. Thats what this is all about right. If you want the color to be wowing then I'd say go down and research these colors. They are so amazing.

If you want to purchase these beauties. You can find them in places like Nordstorms, Macy's and online at Deborah Lippman

Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation - Review

Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation

I like this foundation by Rimmel London. It's not as good as counter foundation and under the quality of Covergirl's NatureLuxe. It's still a great foundation for the price. It goes on pretty smooth and doesn't feel too thick on the skin which can be a problem with drugstore foundation.

The thing this foundation sports is a "Skinpure Complex". It claims to be a clairifying matte foundation. I don't know for certain because I change up my foundation, add things to it (like moisturizer, primer, and other foundations). My skin doesn't seem to break out as much from this foundation, so I believe that some of the claims it says may be partly truthful.

Rimmel London makes this foundation for sensitive skin, is oil-free and has shine control. They don't use parabans, no fragrances and use botanical extracts to help soothe irritated skin. I bought it in Classic Beige and it's slightly too dark for my skin, but I add in some moisturizer and some ivory covergirl to make it more my color.

You can buy this at your local drugstore for around $7-$8 and sometimes on sale get it for cheaper. 1 fl. oz tube is what you get for the cost. If you are looking for a foundation that is good coverage and keeps the skin clearer and is not too expensive, then this is the foundation for you.

If you don't wear makeup often this is a good makeup to try out and start with, learning what you like is a long drawn out process that can get expensive. I always suggest trying the cheaper stuff first since makeup can break the bank. The more you wear, and like using it the better quality to go and get.

Wet N Wild Mega Brilliance Lipgloss in Crushed Grapes - Review

Wet N Wild Mega Brilliance Lipgloss in Crushed Grapes

I am always grabbing lipglosses, lipsticks, lipbalms whenever I can. Literally far too often, I enjoy finding new colors, new flavors, and new ways to treat my lips to a good time.

The other day while I was out, I saw this one on sale and just had to give it a try, sparkly, pink, and super shiny. Cheap and bright pink, how could I not. So I bought it and found that I love it.

I like the feeling of it on my lips, its like most lipglosses slightly sticky. That's about the only thing I dislike about lipglosses, so I can't really complain about the stickiness of one lipgloss since its a normal thing throughout the lipgloss world. The lipgloss smells so good. I love lipglosses that smell great. This lipgloss smells like Grapes.. so I am in love.

It's not very bright but I like the color its barely there and looks good as a shiny lipgloss. Maybe not really pink at all.. but I have learned that with a lot of lipglosses they are more shine then color. So mixing this with a nice pink lipstick can make for a beautiful sparkly shiny lip color.

If you want some cheap shine this is definitely a color to pick up.

Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake Lipgloss - Review

Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake Lipgloss

I love philosophy's products I have both the Birthday Cake Bath wash and the Peppermint Bark bath wash. I want more of them. I love how potent the smells are, they are so great smelling and really smell like the things they are named after. Yet that's not what this review is about. I am talking today about the Birthday Cake lipglosses. I won this as a prize from one of the twitter parties they gave away as a party favor.

The lipgloss smells like vanilla birthday cake and goes on glossy. I like the sparkles and shine in the lipgloss. It's super thick and looks great on. It even tastes slightly like cake.

I like mixing this lipgloss with a bright red to make it glossy and red, very bright and out there. I am a bright color kinda girl. The lipgloss works really great as a mixer. I am glad that it is such a great product.

Philosophy really does go all out in the making of the products and I am happy for that. Since I love using all the products. If you are looking for a new lipgloss check this one out. It's worth it in the shine department.

Hawaiian Tropic's Creme Lotion SPF 50

For the last few years I haven't spent much time in the sun, and this summer seems to be a new era for me. I have been frollicking in the park, swimming with friends in our pool, going out for runs and walking close to 4 miles a day. So I am in the rays of the sun a lot and the first time out I got super sunburned so I have started using sunscreen. It goes on slightly thick and creamy. I don't for the most part like sunscreens because of the fact that they are so greasy and I don't like that feeling on my skin.

This sunscreen works well, keeps my skin from turning deep red and allows me to enjoy my time in the sun without worry. I like that. That makes me feel good. The sunscreen is slightly greasy but not so bad once it goes on. The only thing that I do every time is wash my hands after I put it on my body since I don't want to feel the grease on my hands.

Hawaiian Tropic has a lot more products available and you'll probably see me write about more of them since I really like the products.

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm

I am in love with this new lip balm. It's straight up amazing. There are 6 different types and they all smell incredible. I have in my hand at this moment the Cherry Me flavor. It smells like cherry candy and leaves your lips feeling super moisturized.

The 6 flavors are:

Quenched, Peppermint, Cherry Me, Grape Vine, Pink Punch, Peach Kiss.

This isnt your basic lip balm. It hydrates your lips and leaves them smoother and less cracked. The lipbalm has SPF 20 in it to protect your lips from UV. The company claims 8 hour hydration, now I'm not really certain on that because I use it quite often through out the day. Maybelline also states that after 4 weeks, your lips and visibly renewed and reborn. I use too many products I think to ever really know for sure.. but I like the way it makes my lips feel and I love the smell of it.

You can be certain I will be picking up the rest of them over time. I truly recommend them, they are in a class all of their own.

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes

Yes to... is a new to me brand. I've always seen it in stores but never picked up anything because I try to only pick up new stuff on sale or when I can't find my normal or have coupons for a great price on something new.

I picked up the Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes because they had a coupon making them pretty cheap. First off, they are biodegradable cloth, free of petroleum and SLS and paraban free. All great things to be.

They smell nice and take off my makeup well. I like the way they leave my skin feeling.

I really love the new trend of senistive skin products because my skin as I get older seems to be getting more and more sensitive. Thankfully these wonderful towelettes didnt upset my skin at all.

You can find them at your local Target, walmart and online. I am sure lots of other stores carry them since they seem to be rising in popularity. I also saw that SneekPeeq has had multiple times sold there merchandise.

NYC's In a New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish

Today I found 2 colors by NYC's In a New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish

I found Pumpkin and Greenwich Village

I am like how smooth they go on and especially how quickly they dry.

Here is some swatches.. I'll put up better pics when I can take some.

Pumpkin is the Orange - its sparkly up close, I only put on one coat, i might do a second coat later to see if it gets brighter. Its not very bright unless you are up close.

Greenwich Village is the bright pink. It is almost a neon color and very pretty.

I like both colors and soon will start designing more exotic looks.

Enjoy!!

Update: Things I am learning about myself.. I am way too hard on my nails. They are all chipped up after about 5 hours out and about and an hour of swimming.

But this says something for NYC nail polishes - they stood up in a swimming pool. That is not something that every nail polish can say.

Burberry Cosmetics

Today was an amazing day. I got to spend it out with my honey, while buying makeup and girly stuff and not once did he complain. He sat quietly while I did what I always do and talked to every makeup counter cause I always want to know what's new. That's where I'm in trouble. Here I am walking Nordstrom's when I see a makeup counter for Burberry, and I think to myself "Burberry, don't they make purses, interesting." So I go and talk to the counter girl, who turned out to be the Manager, her name is Erin. Might I add incredibly sweet, super knowledgeable and super talented in the makeup department. I sit down with her for a consultation.

First I have to say I'm in love with the foundation. It's a gel base and feels amazing on the skin. It doesn't feel cakey, or thick. It doesnt make me feel like there's much there, but it has incredible coverage. The foundation will run you about $52, and this is the first time I actually want to spend that much on a foundation. I'm looking at the whole line worrying about my pocketbook really. I'm in love.

I love the eye shadows and blush colors. The colors Erin used on me were more natural, which is not usually my style but the finished product looked great so I am super happy with it and now looking to add like colors to my makeup box. The mascara doesn't clump and make your eyelashes look all thick and goopey like some mascara's do, instead my crazy thick, long lashes are much thicker and longer and look great. The eyeliner is a pencil and went on nicely and stayed on.

I feel bad cause I didn't take any pictures when the makeup was fresh cause I looked amazing. My boyfriend said she did a great job even. Now its 8 hours later and most of it's still on. The lipmist has left my lips because I ate a tub of popcorn and drank a soda. Yet the rest of the makeup has mostly stayed in place and I love that.

I am in love with the makeup line.. The cases for the makeup is super cool as well. The boxes are metallic and plaid and magnetic. The mascara tube is solid and probably could be used as a weapon. The lipmists are cute.

If you wear the higher end makeup I would highly suggest taking a look at this brand. I didn't know it existed before today, but now it's on my go to list and on my recommendation list. There are only 8 counters in Nordstroms stateside at the moment, 4 being in California, 2 in Chicago, 1 in Washington and 1 in New York. But those of you not near a Nordstrom's that carries the line you are still in luck you can buy online.

Check them out.

Nail Polish

Now I've never really been the type to do my nails. I mean I got my first manicure for my prom and the lady did such a terrible job I just never thought of it again. Yet lately, with all of the adorable things people are doing with their nails I get so wrapped up in it and its making me want to start doing my nails.. so first things first, I need to grow out my nails.

I love all of the neat designs. I can't wait to get to try the magnetic nail polishes.

This is a beauty world I've never been a part of and I'm excited to be stepping into the shallow end.

So bring on the nail polishes..
