Color Club Winter Affair Giveaway ends on August 29th, 2013 comes with 4 nail polishes

So I am trying to get back in the habit of a weekly giveaway since I used to hold a weekly giveaway and then I stopped since I had low entries. So I am going to start working harder on promoting myself again and getting myself out there. Since I want to be able to show you guys great things and share with you all great things.

This giveaway prize was purchased with my own money. All the opinions on the polish are my own.

So I picked up this polish the other day and decided to grab a second package for you guys since I loved the colors. Sadly my nails have been breaking like crazy so sorry for the short nail pictures. I will work on that.

This package is called Winter Affair and comes with 4 Color Club nail polishes. It comes with a purple with blue undertones and glitter, a green with blue undertones and glitter and a red with glitter and a clear with sparkly white glitter chunks.

I love how easy this polish goes on and how nice it looks. I only used one coat for each of the applications you see.

a Rafflecopter giveaway So enter for your chance to win. And thank you so much for following the blog. :D

Nerd Lacquer Quasar review and swatches

I have heard about these polishes from every indie nail lover. I have wanted to get myself one. I got the chance to pick up Quasar. It is a beautiful polish and it goes on so clean. I really like the brand. I really am falling in love with the indie polish companies.

The color is a green jelly with glitter in it. It's the first glitter polish that I really like so far, so that was a first for me. I really dig the color too, in and out of the bottle. It is so gorgeous. I am so glad I grabbed a bottle of this for my collection, now to catch them all.

Picture Polish Pshiiit Review and Swatches

This is the first of many reviews on Picture Polish. I love the bottles and so as of late I have collected quite a few to swatch for you. This first one is Pshiiit a green teal color with green glitter. I am totally in love with the color and with the polish. It comes on pretty smooth, unless you try to coat more then 3 times without redipping the brushes.

This is the first of my Picture Polish and my second Australian polish. If you live here in the states they really aren't the cheapest polishes to get, I have been lucky in getting them from people who had already purchased them and wanted to swap them out.

Ozotic 509 silver holo nail polish review and swatches

Now I am getting in to trying out lots of different brands of polish, so you will all be seeing a lot of different brands of nail polish, as well as lots of different brands of makeup in general, because who doesn't like variety. So today's new to me brand is Ozotic. It is the same brand that sells Picture Polish. There will be a few reviews of Picture Polish coming up. I have a bunch that have entered my collection recently I am excited to share.

This color is a beautiful silver with a blue and green holo. It is very pretty. Almost completely silver in just normal light, it shines as you move it back and forth.

The color goes on real smooth and looks beautiful. I really liked it a lot. I definitely will use it more, I want to use it to make some nail art.

It's Spring Julep Mystery Box version 2

I have decided I'm going to keep getting the Mystery Boxes on the off chance that I get lucky enough to get one of the big ones. This time I was not so lucky. I again got a smaller box. I do love the polishes so I am happy that the box came with 4 of them.

So here is what is inside the It's Spring Julep Mystery Box version 2.

Pomegranate Body Creme ( I got this last time so I was a bit bummed, but I might be swapping it for something else with another Julep lover so yay.)

4 polishes in Sienna, Niecy, Mindy and Cindy.

Sienna is a bronze shimmer polish. Very beautiful.

Niecy is a creamy pink polish.

Mindy is a porcelain beige color.

Cindy is a green with gold shimmer.

This was my box. I will be getting the May Mystery Box as well if they still have it available in a few days. Look forward to the opening shortly.

The Croods movie review and makeup look

So I have been watching movies a lot lately and I wanted a reason to talk about them. Then I thought why not do makeup looks based off of them and then I have a reason to talk about them. YAY.

I went this weekend and saw The Croods. My mothers boyfriend wanted to see it, and he had just taken us to see 42 and bought me a BuildaBear (I feel like a little kid again lol) so I was all for it. Even though I wasn't sure I wanted to see it because of the mixed reviews I heard from people. I did see some funny parts in the trailers so I thought I must give it a try.

The movie is about a caveman family named The Croods, who must give up everything they know to escape the end of the world. The daughter finds a boy named Guy who helps them on the journey who is also in search of Tomorrow, his idea of paradise.

The movie has some funny parts, and there are some cute characters written in. We all had a laugh, belt was cute, there was some good one liners. A lot of the funniest parts of the movie were in the trailer. That's usually my biggest fear with comedies is trailer talk up. When all the best parts of the film are in the trailers. I hate it. This movie was kinda like that. Not that it was unbearable to sit through but it was just about what I was expecting. Not really my cup of tea, but not so bad that I didn't like it.

The animation is well done, the scenery is gorgeous and fun to watch. The animals they created were beautiful. I loved the Saber Tooth Tiger he was so full of beauty and colorful. I am already looking at Fur Dyes for snotti. I think she would be gorgeous.( I won't really mostly because she is an old kitty and I'd rather she enjoy life then be annoyed at me.)

Overall the movie was a bit too overdone for me. I mean would I watch it again, sure if my little cousins wanted to watch it, would I choose it to rent on a movie night, No. If you have little kids they will enjoy it and you won't hate it and might even laugh some at the film.

So I did some bright vibrant looks for the film since it is full of life and color.

I used Orly Razzamatazz, Essence Snow White Collection Doc, Kat Von D Sparklehorse, Pretty Polished Martian Salad and Pretty Polished Pool Party. In that order thumb to pinkie.

L'oreal HIP Shocking Shadow Pigments in Rebel 314 a review

L'oreal HIP Shocking Shadow Pigments in Rebel 314

Now I love highly pigmented eyeshadow because it really shows up and there is so much you can do with it. I found this gorgeous olive green color the other day at Rite Aid while waiting to go to lunch with my grandmother, I had to pick it up. One because I am doing an outfit for Comic Con as Poison Ivy and Im going to do my makeup really fun. Other then that, the price was a good thing.

First off the color is very bright and intense, it looks gorgeous on. Here's a swatch of the color.

I truly love the fact that the color comes with a professional eyeshadow brush to put on the color. I really love that they offer it. I love brushes, I need more I just wish they weren't so darned expensive because I would buy them all the time.

L'oreal makes great drugstore makeup. I do love the colors they come out with and the way they package the products. If you see some of these HIP eyeshadows, pick them up they really do make shocking looks.

Deborah Lippman's Mermaid Dream and Sweet Dreams - RevieDeborah Lippman's Mermaid Dream and Sweet Dreams

Deborah Lippman's Mermaid Dream and Sweet Dreams

I had to chance to play around with this nail polish the other day while I was out. So I did my nails different colors. One being the gorgeous bluish green with blue glitter - Mermaid Dream and the other a vibrant pink with irridescent flakes - Sweet Dreams . I am in love with both of the colors. They are so gorgeous and beautiful.

First off they stay on. Not every nail polish likes too. They don't chip that easy, unless of course you are me and 2 minutes after applying you stick your hand into your pocket to pull out your phone and pull a part of the nail polish off. I'm really hard on my nails so I don't expect it to last forever, but its been 4 days and they still look pretty good.

Second the color is so there and bright and so much glitter. You really get to see it shine. Thats what this is all about right. If you want the color to be wowing then I'd say go down and research these colors. They are so amazing.

If you want to purchase these beauties. You can find them in places like Nordstorms, Macy's and online at Deborah Lippman
