"The QuarterBack" Glee's Goodbye Finn and My personal experiences.

So most people who follow entertainment know that Cory Montieth who played Finn on Glee died last month of a heroin overdose. I know this doesn't have much to do with makeup, but it has to do with something I love and I write about non makeup things all the time. I kept telling myself I would watch it when I get caught up on Glee(I'm behind because Mr. Kitty hasn't wanted to watch and we were watching it together, so I am behind, along with quite a few other shows Im really annoyed at being behind on). But I knew if I did that I might never get caught up on Glee because I would push it off forever. Since the episode doesn't follow story because it is a tribute episode I decided last night to bite the bullet and watch it. The opening number was Seasons of Love and from that moment I balled my eyes out.

Now for me this was a truly personal episode because I know Rachel's heartache. My high school sweetheart committed suicide in 2009. He did it on the two anniversary of our breakup. It was devastating for me. I had loved him since I was 15. I am 27 now. I didn't know how to respond, I fell apart and spiraled out of control. I still have days where I feel lost. I mean honestly how do you get over losing someone, especially someone you love. He and I had broken up, bur we talked almost everyday. I spent most of my time telling him if he was willing to go to therapy with me I would be willing to start over and him telling me no.

I am lucky to have someone in my life who understands my brokeness and is there for me now.

Tiki Oasis 2013 August 15-18th

So I went to Tiki Oasis 2013.. and I didn't know what to expect, I didn't know what to wear, so one day I wore neon and the next day I wore a polka dotted halter dress with the cutest new bootie shoes I got. My mother's boyfriend is a giant Tiki lover so he booked us a 2 night stay in San Diego and got us all tickets to go to this convention. He's the sweetest most generous guy so we were excited to do something with him that he was excited for, since he normally just does dinner and shopping with us. Which I'm sure is loads of fun for him.

We got to our hotel around 2pm on Saturday. We all had either school or work during the week so we couldn't come down earlier then that. But the drive was also pretty bad since there was a bad accident on the freeway. We got there though with enough time to scour the vendor floors and see some of the cars.

After we looked at cars, and things to buy, we decided to go out to dinner. We had a fabulous dinner at Hunter's Steakhouse. I had some incredibly delicious Artichoke dip and steak. I don't eat steak that often but it was mighty good. We then ran over to Target and I bought a sweater and some new booties, since the boots I was wearing were killing me. We also grabbed some cups, since there were a lot of room parties and we wanted to be prepared.

We got back to the event and listened to some live music and had some drinks. I had a guy walk up to me and recognize me from Comic Con. Let me tell you the best feeling in the world is having people recognize you out of costume.. or having other amazing cosplayers tell you how much they love your costuming. It has been a miraculous week for me in that regard. Then we ran into someone I worked for 13 years ago and hung out with him and drank a bit. I didn't really dig the drinks, but I dug the music and the bottle the alcohol came in.

Best part of the night while we were buzzed my boyfriend told my old friend that I was his best friend. It's something that is quite obvious about us, but I had never heard him say it.. Totally made my night. After we stayed out until 3am we finally went back to our room to crash. I set my alarm for 9am so we could do breakfast but I couldn't get up until 10am so we missed it. I was sad.. I love breakfast food. Im thinking thats gonna be my wednesday morning game.

We hit up the restaurant inside the event and had sandwiches. I love avocado and croissants. So it was great. Then we took my mother over to get some Henna done by my friends girlfriend.. AMAZING mermaid. I loved it. After that I made a few purchases. Some as surprise gifts for people I like and a special surprise gift for a fan here on the page.

Overall we had a wonderful weekend. Best part was we got home from the event and my boyfriend looked at me said it's only 6pm.. Want to go to Disneyland? So we hit up Disneyland for 4 hours. It had been like a week since we had gone.. Slowly going on all the rides. I still think there are rides I have not ridden before. (Disneyland pics will be in their own post.)

Kellogg's Nail Polish Send in Nicole by OPI

So I wrote about this a while back, buy 8 boxes of specially marked Special K cereal input the codes online and get your polishes. I went out and saw a musical tonight and came home and saw that I had a package. Small and beat up, but as soon as I saw the name I was excited.

Now I only own two other Nicole By OPI's so these will be a great addition to my collection. There are three colors Blue, Pink and Red.

The first color of the group is the Red. It was the easiest to coat of the three colors I received. I like the color it is just a bold red. I like that it will be great for nail art. The color is called Challenge Red-y

The last of the group was a bright pink called Be Ama-zing!. I like the color. It's beautiful and wasn't too streaky.

The blue color is called Pros and Confidence. I like the color, but it was very thick so it didn't go on my nails the greatest.

I really liked all the colors. So I was super glad I got the set.

How I Met Your Mother Season 8 episode 23

I am quite the Neil Patrick Harris fan. So when this show hit the air, I was overly pleased. I could tell you episode for episode the show, but I watched this weeks episode and it made me think about my life and I wanted to share it with the world.

Robin is searching for a locket she buried when she was a kid. She calls up Barney first (her fiance, NPH) and he tells her he's busy and he asks if it's important, she say not its fine. So she calls up Ted (her ex and now close friend) and they have the same conversation. Ted shows up and tells her he knows her well enough to read her.

This is something that I always say in what made me decide Jason is my life partner. One of the many many reasons, I want to spend my life with him. He knows my language better then any family, friend, ex, better then anyone in my life. He knows me as well as I know me. Its what makes me feel safe with him. I know that he pays attention to me. It the most reassuring feeling in the world, when someone can look at you and know what you need. It is what makes him so special. Why he goes out and buys me Dibs at the movie theatre when I don't feel good. Or knows what to order for me at any restaurant.

We have our share of difficulties, like anyone and some of our problems are big. Yet we have one thing going, the passion and insync'ness we share.

Does any of you share that with your partner? Do you know what I mean?

Finding a Charm Locket on the Cheap

The first time I saw the little magnetized lockets with the charms in it, I fell desperately in love, then I saw the price and I instantly was brought back to reality. I own a lot of expensive jewelry that I already don't wear, so I didn't need another piece I would wear for a short time and not touch again. (Need to make a necklace rack.. must do it.) So I was saddened since I really wanted one, I've drooled over them online ever since.

Today I was out doing the Grand Opening for a Victoria's Secret PINK store (and got the PINK Angel Card, I'm so screwed, lol) I decided to walk around the mall a bit because I wasn't ready to go home and start working on auctions, or online stuff. I hit up a couple different stores including Benefit (you will see my score there shortly.) and ran across one of those cheap jewelry/accessory stores. I walked around inside not really seeing anything that caught my eye until I saw it, the spirit locket on a chain for $2.99. I ran over and instantly started going through the 99 cent charms. Yes they aren't expensive but they are some of the same charms I have seen at trunk shows. I was overly excited. I got a heart shaped locket that really locks well. I picked out a T and a J each with rhinestones. Then I picked up a little cat, lastly I picked up some playing cards and dice. I wish they had a little heart, but I will be looking for one.

So for $8 I picked up something that would have cost me $50 plus anywhere else. I am so happy with it, It is the exact same locket I have seen before, so I love getting things cheap.. yay.
