Been a while, I post this a lot..

I post this a lot.. It's always a while between posts.. I get caught up in school or in work and this becomes something I don't touch.. and I should.. and I'm sorry.. So Here's a few pictures of what I've been doing recently.. just to hold you over until you see real posts from me again.

MAC is releasing a ROCKY HORROR collection OMG

Rocky Horror entered my life 15 years ago.. It changed my life in lots of ways, from the friends I have made and the body confidence I found while attending. Though I rarely go nowadays, mostly just for special events and birthday shows, it has never left my heart. I am stoked that MAC is teaming up with the film for it's 40th Anniversary to do something that appeals to me in a giant way. I can tell you I will be buying most of this collection.

The Collection will hit stores and online on October 2nd.

The collection for MAC will feature a range of products including Lipsticks (hoping for the red to match the Science Fiction Double Feature Lips), Lip Pencils, a Shadow Palette, Powders, Blush, Liquid Eyeliner, Lashes, Glitter, and Pigment. With Columbia's outfit I can tell you there is no way they would leave out glitter for this collection.

Executive producer Lou Adler is stoked about the film’s 40th anniv, noting, “It is hard to believe it has been almost 40 years since we released The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but as we approach this milestone anniversary, the film is as outrageously entertaining and relevant as it ever was. It has certainly taken on a life of its own, and continues to transcend generations and hold a solid spot in pop culture year after year.”

I can't wait to get all of this collection. I am sure to grab the lipsticks, pigments, blush, powder and the palette. This is going to be an expensive collection for me.

Hiatus... it's been a while

I know I end up posting this a lot.. but I work and have school and end up away from being able to do anything for long periods of time. I do plan on writing again soon.. so look for makeup-y stuff and I will be posting Geeky and food stuff on my geek blog... but check out G33k-HQ.com. I write over there a lot.

I really like this color it goes on smooth and looks great. I really am glad to have recieved it in my Uni Vox Box.

Influenster Uni Vox Box

So I am an influenster and I was so excited to be given the chance to review and enjoy the Uni Vox Box. I really enjoy getting these boxes and can't wait to share with you all the great things I get in these boxes.. This is my 4th box with them.

This box came with Broadway Nails imPress Press on Manicure, Expert Last Lip Color in Forever Fuchsia, Pilot Acroball Purewhite, Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation, Playtex Sport Fresh Balance, Red Rose Real Tea Premium Water Enhancer.

Each of these are interesting and fun things to come in a box like this. I have already tried 2 of them and over the next couple of days I will try them all out.

Thanks to Influenster I get to try out new things and tell you about fun new things.

I think my favorite two things in the box were NYC lip color in Forever Fuchsia and Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. I already had both of them in my makeup box at home.

Wondercon 2014 Oh What a Weekend :D

Oh what a weekend. I am just getting back and have way more energy then I anticipated. I have been getting so much work done, I even almost got completely caught up on my homework.. So yay for me.

I went to the first day of Wondercon as Josie from Josie and the PussyCats.

On Saturday I went as Hawkgirl Unmasked.

On Sunday I was Zatanna for the first half of the day, then I changed into my wolverine dress for the second half of the day.

Hannibal TV show

Now I am a tv show lover. I watch soo much on television that I can almost tell you anything about any show on air. Except reality tv. I really enjoy Hannibal. I know it is a little bit creepy. I just have been in love with the show and its creepiness. I think I especially love the scenes of his rolodex recipes that have attached to each a business card of the person he made the dish with. It is so gross yet at the same time so intriguing and has me watching and wanting to know more.

I also was a lover of the original movies on the source material and the books, that are quite interesting. I am a huge lover of books as well.

I have been in love with horror books since I was a very young child. I started with RL Stine and Christopher Pike in the 3rd grade and by the 5th grade was reading Stephen King. I have always been one to love the creepy.

I like Hannibal and if you have a morbid sense of discovery you might as well.

My Vegas weekend

So this weekend my friend and my mentor when it comes to SEO, was running a Spartan Race in Las Vegas and he asked me if I wanted to accompany him before hitting NAB at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Spartan Race is an obstacle course for those crazy people who enjoy getting beat up while running an 8.5 mile race.

So he ran a Spartan Race while I took photos and waited in the very dusty and hot Vegas sun. He and his race buddies all wore these super cool printed spartan bodysuits. They had an extra male version that I wore to support them.

So he finished his race and we settled into the apartment we were staying in for NAB show (national association of broadcasters) which we were both excited about since I play on both sides of the camera. 

We started our trek to NAB, thankfully we were staying literally next door. And walked around the convention floor. We got a ton of bags, pens and I got a bag of candy since all the booths are giving you candy as you walk by.

I got to talk to a lot of companies about cameras, equipment and all the fun things you can do with the amazing and new equipment that is out there right.

I had a wonderful time, missed all the parties and got to see my family who love in Vegas. Overall it was a wonderful and fun trip and I can't wait to come back to Vegas for the next convention or conference. 

Scribblenauts Unmasked mystery figures

These adorable little figures are a part of the newest craze of blind box toys. I had to get them because not only are they Scribblenauts, but they are also DC. Then of course they are soooo cute. I got in my two boxes the easiest ones to get. I really want batman, mostly because he is so adorable and cute. I can't wait to get the rest of the collection.

Captain America Winter Solider

Now I know that most if you know I am a giant geek. I love marvel and I have been patiently waiting for this film for what seems like far too long.

I almost didn't get to see it last night because my favorite movie partner got called into work and was supposed to work until 4am... So I had just decided I would see it next week when I got back from Vegas since I leave tonight for Vegas for a conference. 

But while I was cleaning up our new apartment and fixing up our new bed he walked in the doors about 45 minutes before the midnight showing. He came home early to surprise me, which was awesome. We grabbed my mother and took her along because she really wanted to see it. She loves Captain America. 

Now I won't give away any spoilers even though I want to talk forever about what I think will be happening with Avengers Age of Ultron. 

The story is interesting and the plot twists and keeps you interested and on your seat. The characters new and old are lovable or hateable, either way they are well written and you want the bad guys gone and you root for the good guys.

The fight scenes are extremely acrobatic. I loved that because it made them look almost theatrical and over the top but fun and exciting.

We get to meet a few new characters who are added into the universe, we get to learn more about characters from the past franchises.

If you were thinking about the film but couldn't decide to go see it on the big screen do it. It's fun, funny and an all together great show to see.

Funko Horror Classics Mystery Mini Figures

I am a big fan of the 90's and before horror movies.I don't enjoy torture films, but I love the monster movies of earlier days. I am a fan of most of these classics. I don't like Pennywise though, I will admit that, he is not a character that I can handle. I am not the type to like clowns, they scare the crap out of me.

I was really excited about this set, I'm really excited all the Funko Mystery Mini's that are coming out. I love Funko so much.

I really want all of this set, I love the scream one, or the saw guy. These movies remind me of being young with my friends and seeing these films while we all went out to the movies, sneaking into films that were too old for us.

I have Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs and then I had a guy who was also buying them got two of the Sam from Trick or Treat and he gave me his extra.

The color of the year Radiant Orchid.

This week the color of the year was released and it's beyond gorgeous. I stopped by Sephora to see all the colors and products that are being put out on the color.
