Michael Morones Foundation Charity Event at Metropolis Comics in Bellflower, CA

So I was asked by the group I work with if I would be interested in cosplaying for a charity event being held at the Metropolis comic book store to raise money to fight bullying for the Michael Morones Foundation. If you don't know who he is, he was a young boy who really loved My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and considered himself a brony and was bullied to the point that he tried to commit suicide. You can read more about it at this link: http://www.michaelmorones.org/

Being a geek most of my life, before geek became chic and being a huge My Little Pony fan and the fact that I am strongly for helping putting an end to bullying I jumped on board. So I cancelled my plans and jumped into my Kevin Cosplay and we went down to the comic book store. What I didn't know was that on top of the 15 or so cosplayers I knew were going was the large amount of comic book artists who gave there time to be there at this event and were doing sketches for donations to the foundation.

I am constantly impressed with the geek community and the way that it comes together to do things for those in need or to support good causes.

Michaels grandmother even showed up at the event and we all got the chance to talk to her and show her our support. I would love to do more with the brony community to help end bullying. I am very big into charity and I am even the co founder of a Cosplay charity so you will constantly find me doing charity work.

They had raffles and a ton of great stuff including a signed original page from a my little pony comic. I ended up winning 2 graphic novels and a book about Jack Kirby, the Captain America artist. Overall I had a fabulous time, a lot of money was raised by all the attendees and people got some great artwork.

I'm creating again

So I love to create. It's in my heart and my passion to constantly be creating things and so with all my life being all busy I have had a hard time getting the ability to create. So here are some MLP's that I painted to look like Harley and Joker from Batman. I know they aren't perfect but I will only get better

Build A Bear My Little Pony Rainbow Dash

I am a huge My Little Pony fan. I have been since long long ago. I even have a picture of me covered in ponies from the very early 90's.

When I found out that Build A Bear was doing some Builds based after the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. I knew I had to get one. They are just to cute. The first in the series is Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. I really wanted one. Since they are larger sized then most of the MLP stuffed toys that have been out.

So the other day I was out seeing a movie with my mother and her boyfriend, I told my mother that she had to see the ponies at BuildABear. We got there and her boyfriend told me to pick the one I wanted. I love Rainbow Dash so she was the obvious choice.

My Little Pony Nail Polishes from Hot Topic

I ended up picking these adorable nail polishes because I am a huge MLP (My Little Pony, both friendship is magic and the original ponies from the 80's.) I have been collecting as my mother puts it from before I was born. I own somewhere near 1000 maybe more. I someday plan to display them all in my makeup room on shelves. They are a good link to my past.

Now I got 2 polishes that day a purple and a white sparkle. I liked them. They don't go on globby, they look nice and the white sparkle is a almost sheer polish with a ton of white glitter that make it almost seem like a white shiny polish instead of glittery.

There is one thing I dislike about them, the glitter on the cap, it makes it hard to open and the glitter comes off on everything. I might just clean off the caps, because I would rather it didn't.
