Nail Polish Remover Pads in Jasmine scent

So on one of my freebie days at Old Navy. If you have been reading me you know what I am talking about. If you haven't you can go read the post about Snap 5's or I can tell you. Old Navy has a cell phone app and you take pics of the logo and it gives you mostly tips for fashion and every once in a while a coupon for something off a purchase. The best coupon is a $5 off a $5 purchase. I always run down and get some of the clearance stuff. One of the last times I was there they had Nail Polish Remover pads in the clearance bin. I got 2 containers and a lipgloss for free. So if you don't have Snap Appy on your phone yet, you should download it. It is a great app.

So I hate having to use nail polish remover from a bottle. I have dumped my bottle on myself more then once, I admit. So I am always looking for a different way to go about taking polish off. I will admit I like the pump bottles and always say I am going to get one and then I don't. When I saw these I knew I should grab them and enjoy them. I didn't know if I would like them because the last ones I used were a different brand and let me tell you they weren't the greatest. I don't remember the brand but I figured I would try again. Shouldn't let one bad experience sully my enjoyment.

These particular ones are Jasmine scented. I don't think they smell like Jasmine, more just like a little bit of flower scent but that does not bother me.

Here's my painted nails before

Here is what the little pad looks like.

Here is the pad plus a second pad I had to use to take off all my polish. I think 2 pads is not a problem, like one for each hand. I like them. The container comes with 30 pads so thats 15 removals.

I don't know if Old Navy is still selling these, but I saw them at Spencer's as well and will be going over to stock up on more since they are clearancing them at my store for $1.50 each.

Eye Kandii Cosmetics - First Indie makeup review

Today I have the pleasure of showing off some makeup I bought off Etsy.

The shop is http://www.etsy.com/shop/EyeKandiiCosmetics. I was searching for samples and kits to try out some small companies makeup and start writing about smaller brands and give me the chance to play with things I haven't had the chance to enjoy when I ran across her shop and picked up some samples because I liked the colors. I got a eye shadow sample grab bag that contained baggie samples and a product. Now I'm a sucker for surprises and since I'm wanting to try things I thought why not go this route and let her be my first review.

I got the products really quickly. They were waiting for me after work less then a week after I ordered. I was excited and opened the envelope. To my excitement there were lots of goodies to enjoy. I got a blush, a lip gloss, an eye shadow and samples. Not all the samples are labeled but that's fine by me. I can't wait to try them all. wear it on my lips for a full day.. but trust me that day is coming. :D

So first off we have the lip gloss. It is called Coral Kiss Lip Treatz Vinyl Lip Gloss. I am in love with the color. In the container it looks Neon Pink. If you know how much I love neon you'd be excited too. Here's a swatch of the color. I LOVE IT. It looks like shiny glossy lipstick. It comes off clean. I like the feeling of it. It feels moisturizing. I haven't gotten the chance to wear it on my lips for a full day.. but trust me that day is coming. :D

Next is the Jelly Bounce Blush in Honey Tan. Right off the bat I know it is far to dark for me as a blush. The color is almost a bronze color, very pretty. It seems to dry quickly so I can't use it as a eye shadow which I sometimes do with blush. I use everything for everything, lol.. but I might use it as a highlighter for myself. It has a nice creamy texture and feels soft going on. I really like it. The container I got is 20g and contains Vitamin A and E. So I like it and will find a use for it for sure. Not the best picture.

Next up is the eye shadow I got. The color is green and it is called Mojito. I already like it. LOL. The jar is completely full glad I didnt have it tipped when opening.. Haha. I'm bad about that. The color going on is a light shimmery green (dry) or a more neon looking light green over primer. (I used Elf eyelid primer.) The picture on top is the primed eye shadow and the bottom is the dry eyeshadow by itself.

I'm not going to do the samples today. Since I don't have any mini ziploc baggies to put them in once I cut them, so there will be another post on them.

Over all I am extremely pleased with what I purchased and I can see more eye shadow and lip vinyl in my future. I can't wait to try other colors out.

So go over and check out her shop, it's worth the money and you are helping someone pays bills and thats a good thing :)

Physician's Formula Hydrating and Balancing Moisturizer- Review

Physician's Formula Hydrating and Balancing Moisturizer

Last week I went to CVS to pick up my free body wash from the facebook giveaway and upon purchasing it, I got a coupon for $12 of a Physician's Formula skincare item. I spent the next 5 minutes trying to find a skincare item in the makeup section before the chick behind the counter took me over to the new Physician's Formula skincare line. I didn't know anything about it, so I sat down in front of them and read up on them as much as you can in a store on the floor.

I like a lot of the different makeup that Physician's Formula makes and so with the coupon making a product under half the cost, I thought why not give it a try. So I picked up Hydrating and Balancing Moisturizer for $9 normally $19.99. Not a bad deal and hoped it would be a good fit for me.

I've been using it for a week now, I really like the way it feels on the drier parts of my face. The first few days I was using it all over my face, but I didn't like the way it left my forehead feeling more oily then it had started out that day. Yet I really like the way it feels on the flakier parts of my skin. It makes it feel less dry and more normal. So I have been using it on half my face and it feels really great.

It comes out of the bottle a light blue color, which I think is cool. It doesn't feel too thick or greasy which I think is nice. It seems to moisturize well on my skin, I have only been using it for about a week so I can't say how well it works for long term. I will have to update you in a while about the long term effects.

So I would recommend checking out this moisturizer if you are looking for a new moisturizer. They also have a whole line of skincare. I have yet to check out.

Hawaiian Tropic's Creme Lotion SPF 50

For the last few years I haven't spent much time in the sun, and this summer seems to be a new era for me. I have been frollicking in the park, swimming with friends in our pool, going out for runs and walking close to 4 miles a day. So I am in the rays of the sun a lot and the first time out I got super sunburned so I have started using sunscreen. It goes on slightly thick and creamy. I don't for the most part like sunscreens because of the fact that they are so greasy and I don't like that feeling on my skin.

This sunscreen works well, keeps my skin from turning deep red and allows me to enjoy my time in the sun without worry. I like that. That makes me feel good. The sunscreen is slightly greasy but not so bad once it goes on. The only thing that I do every time is wash my hands after I put it on my body since I don't want to feel the grease on my hands.

Hawaiian Tropic has a lot more products available and you'll probably see me write about more of them since I really like the products.
