MAC is releasing a ROCKY HORROR collection OMG

Rocky Horror entered my life 15 years ago.. It changed my life in lots of ways, from the friends I have made and the body confidence I found while attending. Though I rarely go nowadays, mostly just for special events and birthday shows, it has never left my heart. I am stoked that MAC is teaming up with the film for it's 40th Anniversary to do something that appeals to me in a giant way. I can tell you I will be buying most of this collection.

The Collection will hit stores and online on October 2nd.

The collection for MAC will feature a range of products including Lipsticks (hoping for the red to match the Science Fiction Double Feature Lips), Lip Pencils, a Shadow Palette, Powders, Blush, Liquid Eyeliner, Lashes, Glitter, and Pigment. With Columbia's outfit I can tell you there is no way they would leave out glitter for this collection.

Executive producer Lou Adler is stoked about the film’s 40th anniv, noting, “It is hard to believe it has been almost 40 years since we released The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but as we approach this milestone anniversary, the film is as outrageously entertaining and relevant as it ever was. It has certainly taken on a life of its own, and continues to transcend generations and hold a solid spot in pop culture year after year.”

I can't wait to get all of this collection. I am sure to grab the lipsticks, pigments, blush, powder and the palette. This is going to be an expensive collection for me.

Now the chance is yours to finally strut your stuff in authentic Rocky Horror Makeup.

Candii Blossom Eye Shadows - Indie Brand

So I had the pleasure of working with Candii Blossom Cosmetics, she sent me 5 sample clamshells of her eye shadows for me to review. Before I even get into the colors I have to say they smell awesome. I just absolutely love the way they smell. She picked out five very vibrant awesome colors. I was super excited to open the envelope and check them out.

The packaging is very cute and the tiny clamshells are awesome. I will say I am not one for the little baggies, too messy and just annoying, so this totally made me super excited that they came in mini clamshells.

The five colors she sent me were Sky, Oh Tiffany, Morning Glory, Erin and Lava Flow. Now they are all great vibrant colors so here is each one of them.

Lava Flow is a beautiful red with some sparkles. I love it.. I will definitely be using it.

Next up is Sky.. a gorgeous cornflower blue. Looks amazing.

Then we have OH, Tiffany another blue, this one is beautiful and lighter then Sky. I love it.. I can't wait to use it in a look.

Erin is a incredible yellow. I love yellows this is no exception

Lastly, but not least is Morning Glory a wonderful purple.

All of the colors are so vibrant. I love all the colors she sent me and will definitely be grabbing more from her shop, especially since they smell so tasty.

You can purchase these beauties and many more over at her Artfire shop

And for my Nail polish fiends she also sells Nail Polish. I am going to purchase some and review those for you as well. I might even do a giveaway for some shadows I purchase for you all.

The World's End

So I was able to catch the newest Simon Pegg movie the last in the trilogy. It's other films were Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz. I enjoyed both of the other two, so when I was given the chance to catch this one for free, I, of course did not turn it down.

I went with my movie buddy, my boyfriend. We try to see everything that comes out in theatres, because well we are both movie buffs and television buffs, so we also watch a lot of tv together. I was excited to see this one because we both liked the preceding two. Lots of fun and thought why not give this one a shot. Also we were being given the chance to see it for free by the local newspaper hours before it came out. So that was also a plus, but that doesn't change my opinion on it, we would have seen it this weekend anyways if it hadn't been for the fact that I got offered the free tickets. They didn't ask me to review it, I just like reviewing stuff.

Now I don't drink beer and I don't get the appeal of getting hammered really on a regular basis. Yes it can be fun to go out every once in a while and let loose but really not my type of thing. I do understand time with friends and if that's your piece of pie more power to you. That's what the film revolves around is a group of friends going out for a last hurrah quite a few years after the last time they attempted to go the golden mile (a lap around 12 pubs). Now here's the kickers there is alien robots.. yep. Since each of the films has had them fighting something, this is what they are fighting this time.

The jokes are funny and entertaining, the characters are interesting, the plot unfolds and isn't terrible. I enjoyed myself a lot. It's not something I would watch again in the theatres, but definitely something I would recommend to friends who like humor and enjoyed the others in the trilogy.

Ipsy May 2013 Glam Bag Revealing

I loved the idea of subscription services. I fell in love with them at Birchboxes big release with Smashbox Cosmetics. I found Ipsy a while ago, but I kept pushing off subscribing. I finally joined up last month and this is my second bag. I love it.

So this month the theme was Spring Fling. There were quite a few different bags that they sent out. So there were different things that you might get in your bag. There was a lot of things I was not looking forward too.

Here is my Unveiling Video on Youtube

So the bag is really pretty I like the stripes on it. I like the way it looks. I will definitely be using it to hold some of my small makeup items. I love the bags you get each month with Ipsy. It's great if you love makeup bags.

Then I got the St Tropez body glow lotion deluxe size in One Night Only. I am not really a tanner, so I don't think I will ever use it. I might try to swap it out for something else.

Next I got Mirabella lipstick in Posy. It is a beautiful red color. I was really happy that I got it because it was one of the things I wanted from this months box.

I got a gorgeous Juice Beauty lipgloss in pink. I haven't tried it yet but I have really great things about the brand though.

Then I got Zoya's nail polish in Blu. It's a very pale blue. I am starting to love Zoya, I hadn't really liked them before, but I am slowly getting more of this polish.

I got a Yaby concealer in Buff, I think it might be a bit too yellow for me.

Then they gave me a Urban Decay eyeshadow in Space Cowboy for being a part of the community. I thought that was pretty awesome. I don't own very much Urban Decay but my small collection is growing.

Eye Kandii Cosmetics - First Indie makeup review

Today I have the pleasure of showing off some makeup I bought off Etsy.

The shop is http://www.etsy.com/shop/EyeKandiiCosmetics. I was searching for samples and kits to try out some small companies makeup and start writing about smaller brands and give me the chance to play with things I haven't had the chance to enjoy when I ran across her shop and picked up some samples because I liked the colors. I got a eye shadow sample grab bag that contained baggie samples and a product. Now I'm a sucker for surprises and since I'm wanting to try things I thought why not go this route and let her be my first review.

I got the products really quickly. They were waiting for me after work less then a week after I ordered. I was excited and opened the envelope. To my excitement there were lots of goodies to enjoy. I got a blush, a lip gloss, an eye shadow and samples. Not all the samples are labeled but that's fine by me. I can't wait to try them all. wear it on my lips for a full day.. but trust me that day is coming. :D

So first off we have the lip gloss. It is called Coral Kiss Lip Treatz Vinyl Lip Gloss. I am in love with the color. In the container it looks Neon Pink. If you know how much I love neon you'd be excited too. Here's a swatch of the color. I LOVE IT. It looks like shiny glossy lipstick. It comes off clean. I like the feeling of it. It feels moisturizing. I haven't gotten the chance to wear it on my lips for a full day.. but trust me that day is coming. :D

Next is the Jelly Bounce Blush in Honey Tan. Right off the bat I know it is far to dark for me as a blush. The color is almost a bronze color, very pretty. It seems to dry quickly so I can't use it as a eye shadow which I sometimes do with blush. I use everything for everything, lol.. but I might use it as a highlighter for myself. It has a nice creamy texture and feels soft going on. I really like it. The container I got is 20g and contains Vitamin A and E. So I like it and will find a use for it for sure. Not the best picture.

Next up is the eye shadow I got. The color is green and it is called Mojito. I already like it. LOL. The jar is completely full glad I didnt have it tipped when opening.. Haha. I'm bad about that. The color going on is a light shimmery green (dry) or a more neon looking light green over primer. (I used Elf eyelid primer.) The picture on top is the primed eye shadow and the bottom is the dry eyeshadow by itself.

I'm not going to do the samples today. Since I don't have any mini ziploc baggies to put them in once I cut them, so there will be another post on them.

Over all I am extremely pleased with what I purchased and I can see more eye shadow and lip vinyl in my future. I can't wait to try other colors out.

So go over and check out her shop, it's worth the money and you are helping someone pays bills and thats a good thing :)
